Jan 14, 2018 · The CentOS team is pleased to announce the immediate availability of CentOS-6.0 for i386 and x86_64 Architectures. CentOS-6.0 is based on the upstream release EL 6.0 and includes packages from all variants. In order to conserve the limited bandwidth available, ISO images are not downloadable from mirror.centos.org I want to download Centos 6.4 , 64 bit system onto a DVD or CD to install on my home computer. I know that *.iso is a file name for imaging. I do not want a Live DVD version of Centos 6.4, the disk is for install only. I just want to use it to install onto a system. I thought that Centos Linux was stored as something else, say tar files. Download NetInstall ISO: First you need to download the NetInstall ISO from CentOS website depending on your system. Depending on your system you will have to choose proper architecture type. For example, i386 is used on most standard computers where as x86_64 is used if your hardware can support 64bit.
